And I Am Back

It's been a long time since I've taken the time to post, but you know how life often has a way of cutting into our creative time?

My little shop called Close to Home is still up and running here in our little town and it's been an experience that has been...well, an experience.  It's given my creative side a chance to go back to dabbling in other medias and yet, the glass still continues to pull me back again and again.

I've also been involved with Civic and Commerce and that has been a ton of fun.  We are gearing up for our 2nd season of the Fessenden Park Social and I am looking forward to it.  I just hope this year we get lots more fresh veggies being sold.  I LOVE fresh veggies, but I truly HATE to weed.

After much thought and soul-searching, I decided to close my Artfire shop.  I wish the venue tons of success and I know that I will still support the artisans that I have met that have shops there, but for me, it has changed so much that it no longer feels like a good fit for Deronda Designs.

These beads are now in their new home in Sweden and from all reports they are well-loved which always makes me smile...there will always be something about the silver plum that draws me in and makes me want to see how many colors I can pull from the shards.

This set is still for sale on Etsy...a great color combo

  1. So yummy Deronda! you have really mastered silver plum, I wish I could get more than black from it.
