Weather...

Wow, the weather is really strange here. I live in the middle of North Dakota and we still have lots and lots of snow. But we did have a thunderstorm the other night and the wind howled and it rained yesterday. And then I hear winter storm warnings are out there. All of this means that a lot of our state could be dealing with flooding before long. In the south part of the state, one of the highways is closed and a small town is flooding. Fargo, which lies along the Red River, is busy filling sandbags and preparing for the river to crest later this week. You know it's coming, you just don't know how bad it's really going to be....

But there are a lot of other things going on too. My friend Vicki has donated a pair of earrings to raise money for Breast Cancer. The Weekend to End Breast Cancer will take place in Vancouver, BC in August.
Visit this website, Triage From Home
, to see her earrings and to make a bid. There are all sorts of wonderful items that have been donated to raise money for this worthy cause. Please pass this information along to friends and family. I think I am going to try and work up something special to donate as well.

I hang out on Wet Canvas a lot and have made some wonderful friends that have some amazing talent. They've just started an Etsy street team called WETSY. Do a search for WETSY on Etsy and you will find some wonderful things. Some glass, some wearable arts...just amazing talent.

Now, I've been spending some time on the torch and as always, there are some things I really like and other things that make me shudder. But since this is my blog, I get to to choose to show you only the good things...
